House District 4 “RINO-tarian” candidate Derek Skees, of Kalispell, has something else in common with Montana GOP darling Michael Steele (besides being “called by God“). Like Steele, Derek Skees is turning out to be the gift that keeps on giving.
This time, the gift comes in the form of Skees’ Montana Tea Party Coalition Survey. On page 2, Skees answers the question of why he wants to be a legislator. Because, as Skees writes, God has given him the ability to “communicate his knowledge well,” I have done my best to preserve Skees’ spelling, capitalization, and underlining:
I don’t want to be one. why would I want to sacrfifice[sic] all of my free time, never see the light of my life (my family)be scorned by the Press and Socialist kool-aid drinkers? I have to be. If not me who? If not now when? I am tired of the current state of affairs and I want to fix it and go back home.
I turned my TV off in 1998 All I do is read. I love anything to do with freedam[sic], Liberty, God and Truth. I admire and study the founding fathers.
God has gifted me with a great memory and I can communicate my knowledge well. I am a businessmen[sic].
We need to change Govt to be more like a business. I can make the tough choices that Helena needs to make. Shrink Govt. Big People. Little Government.

The survey also asks candidates who seek Tea Party endorsement “Who are the 2 most influential human beings in your life?”
To which Skees answers:
(Jesus Christ) not a human sorry. Actually alive folks would be 1) Glenn Beck 2) Ron Paul

It would appear that he turned off his spell check shortly after he turned off his TV.
Or perhaps the “call from God” was either a prank call or some kind of drunk-dial.
Jesus wasn’t human? That’s quite a break with most Christian thinking.
I guess Skees is the expert on this matter, as he was called by God. What do we know?
