Montana Legislature Second Least Educated In U.S.

The NY Times reported this week that after Arkansas, Montana has the least educated state legislature in the U.S.

This session, the Republican-controlled Montana Legislature cut higher education funding by $15.5 million compared to the Governor’s budget.

Gee – what a surprise. I guess its therefore appropriate that a bunch of poorly educated yahoos can decide that us way better educated state workers shouldn’t be paid what we’re worth.

Can you spell M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I? Well, NEITHER CAN THEY! But they sure LUV them some Mississippi values! God, gays, guns, and of course, the BIBLE! And they absolutely HATE them some gubmint, moochers, regulations, science, education, smart people, and uppity minorities! Stupid is as stupid does. Truer words were never spoken. Want proof? Well, just LOOK at the bills these bozos introduced!

Again, I’m considering forming the Potted Plant Party for guys like Birther Bob, Pope Wendy, Pregtested Man, Spear Man, Gen. Robert E. Skees, and all the rest. Tea Party just doesn’t seem to fit. But Potted PLANT Party surely does! HEY!, it ain’t rocket science, and these dudes will NEVE be confused for rocket scientists!

Not only are the uneducated, but they are incapable of seeing past their own noses or looking at issues from points of view other then their own. they are-famous celebrity state legislators-they think they are anyway-and they don’t got no educations, so why should anyone else need one. If they were to see the truth-that they have about 3 percent name recognition at best, then it would only be a good thing for these morons and the state.

Montana’s citizens are not all that sophisticated, Lydia. Most think a technical degree far superior to a generalised education. And they vote accordingly.

This past legislature Im not suprised they did not have college degrees, Im suprised a few of them graduated from high school, for example Im sure Jimmy Knox got his high school degree at Wendys.

I think I saw on his website that Knox has one of those online degrees from Univ of Phoenix. Kind of like a cracker jack prize. That makes him a learned scholar compared to his associates.

The Chronicle of Education found that 65 percent of MT’s legislators have a bachelors or higher degree.

I found that all but one of the representatives from the Flathead have degrees. A couple have associates degrees, but several have masters degrees, and one, Ryan Zinke, has two masters degrees.

The Chronicle’s feature does not go into a lot of depth, but it does permit some comparisons. My initial impression is that Montana ranks in the middle third for percentage of legislators with degrees. And there are some surprises. Maine and New Hampshire are below Montana.

Perhaps we can quantify the session’s ‘accomplishments’ by the number of DUI convictions achieved in honor of Rep. Hale?

LOL ! we are so screwed in this state. A group of monkeys are 100 times smarter than the pricks in legislation… It’s so unfortunate.
