Rehberg’s June Snow Job

Congressman Denny Rehberg

Facing the biggest election of his life, the only real challenge since the first time he ran for Congress, lagging poll numbers, and a race in the national spotlight that is already being talked about as one of the top three in the nation, Rehberg is giving us all a giant snow job.

He’s trying to hide (by writing down) the value of his property so that he won’t have to run as one of the richest members of the entire U.S. Congress.

Rehberg is claiming that he suddenly went from being a mega millionaire to being just like the rest of us because of fire damage to his scrub brush.   The scrub brush was burned nearly two years ago.  Go up on the rims and check it out.   It’s as green now as Ireland.   But here’s where it gets really rich.

If you look at Rehberg’s latest 2010 Personal Financial Disclosure compared to the one he filed in 2009 you’ll find that the corporate entity known as “Rehberg Ranch Land & Livestock” dropped from a minimum value of $5 million to maximum value of $1 million.

Here’s the problem,  the only corporation filing for fire damages in the lawsuit is Rehberg Ranch, LLC – that’s a different company than Rehberg Ranch, Land, & Livestock LLC.

On his 2009 report, Rehberg specifically noted that Rehberg Ranch LLC was being reappraised for fire damage – but he did not say anything about Rehberg Ranch Land & Livestock.

So if the drop in value (by millions and millions) at Rehberg Ranch Land & Livestock wasn’t because of the fire, um…where did all the value go?

Rehberg’s been working hard to keep this out of the press.  He even filed his reports a day late to miss getting covered in the annual news stories about the income reports, which were due Wednesday.  Only Roll Call went back and got the Rehberg report.  Word on the street is that he’ll be filing an amended report soon, and it will be interesting to see how Rehberg tries to further obfuscate and attempt to spin the situation away from inevitable disaster for his campaign.

Watch for more to come out on this one.  All eyes are on this race, and this story isn’t going away.

Good bye lunatic. Hope you have some good drinky time at the GOP convention while your star fades.

In the Roll Call article there is mention of a “livestock” loan at the bank… could it be that all hat and no cattle is going to try an remake himself as a “Rancher” before the election?

The story emerges – he his land appraised at a lower value. How convenient Rehberg!

“Rehberg spokesman Jed Link said Friday that a July 2010 reappraisal of the properties — the first appraisal since 2002 — logged a lower value for the properties and thus the decline in the congressman’s assets and net worth for 2010.”

It is all smoke and mirrors. Rehberg is trying to shed the “Rich Boy” perception – impossible given the circumstances. This just makes him look even more sleezy. There is now way in hell this will help him come election time and it will serve to piss off the citizens of Billings if he tries to use this as a level in the lawsuit. Rehberg is screwed politically.

Dopey Reeburp’s soulmate perhaps? (see link) Ya know, I have a motto for the Teatards: “Let’s see how stupid we can get and STILL be takin’ seriously”! I’m thinkin’ it must all be a perverse game to them. They truly DO seem to want to see how stupid they can get and still be taken seriously. That is the ONLY explanation out there. The first one to FINALLY be laughed at in the press for being a moron wins!

It’s kinda like a stupid game we did my freshman year in college. It was a drinking game. It was called a flash party. The first one to puke was the winner! The Teatards are in a similar game. They’re gonna be as ridiculous as they can be UNTIL the mainstream press has finally had enough and declares them to be idiots unworthy of coverage and not to be taken seriously. But seriously, how much dumber can they get before that happens? See below.

Why has our country allowed this to happen? Well, I blame everyone who has NOT spoken out vigorously against their nonsenes, beginning with the wussy newspapers and their nutless editors. We truly are the laughingstock of the world.

Well you never know he may have lost some money when he went boating last time on Flathead lake, those tend to be costly. Also hookers, beer, rehab you the usual for Republicans they all cost.

This does not make sense. There is a story here, but I doubt you’ve hit on it. I hope there ie a journalist or two left in Montana that might do some journalism on this.

HAHAHAHAHAAA! Wow! Now THAT’S a funny one! LOL! Dopey Reeburp says that we’re “over-litigated”! Hmm. I wonder just WHAT he might be referring to? Maybe his firefighter lawsuit?? What a dummazz!

But I gotta hand it to Dopey. He was able to hit all FOUR of his talking points (his entire repetiore) withOUT looking at this hand! (I think he was at least) He’s a walking talking Teatard talking point! The man really is an idiot.

Here are The Dopey Big Four:

      1) Obama! Obama! Obama! Can’t have no black dude runnin’ the country! So expect to hear it a lot. It’s code for blacks.

      2) Over-taxed. Boy, now THAT’S original.

      3) Over-regulated. Yeah right! His Big Kockh buddy benefactors whisper that in his ear every day.

      4) And lastly, over-litigated! Um, Dopey, you MIGHT just want to reconsider THAT talking point!

Well there you have it, folks. The entire sum of The Dopey Reeburp experience in four points. Expect him to slam those four home over and over and over again repeatedly ad nauseum in as many different ways as he can.

Pathetic I know. But then again, so is Dopey!

Actually, I missed the closing keynote because I was on the road back to beautiful Montana. Thanks for posting a link to the video, though. That was pretty good.

This is absolutely amazing-Rehberg hires an appraiser to tell him his land is worth a fifth of what it was 9 years ago. Show me comparable devaluation from comparable other properties-one can’t! Because they don’t exist. This man is a dishonest piece of trash.

Denny’s image as a multi-millionaire goat collector who subdivided daddy’s ranch has long been cemented in this state, with this move, Denny’s just proven that he’s polled this issue and he knows the score = it makes him very unpopular.

So Rehberg is the only guy in the state whose property value mysteriously DROPPED by MILLIONS in the entire state. How odd. The more he tries to explain this, the deeper the hole he digs himself into. You know that when the next story comes out following his amended report, he’s going to have some even worse explanation than he had last time. He just randomly decided to have the property appraised my @ss. Is having your propoerty artificially devalued even legal? What about the property tax implications. Im sure he’s paying the same property taxes or that would be tax evasion. One way or another, some enterprising reporter is going to figure this out, and it will no doubt be good.

Don’t hold your breath on a Montana Reporter actually running any kind of really negative story on Denny. The Montana Press Corp is bought and paid for. There are over a dozen stories covered over at Intellegent Discontent that have made national news but not a peep out of the Montana Press.

As far as getting a bogus appraisal.. again, don’t hold your breath on any charges being brought. While it is quite likely that the appraisal is bogus, first you have to prove it, then you have to prove it was done fraudulently – meaning that, with aforethought, the appraisal was done incorrectly for some financial purpose. There isn’t anyone in this state (in a legal sense) that will take on Richy Rich.

Have no fear, though. Rich boy Rehberg has almost uniformly pissed off most the independants and moderate Republicans in this state. Unless Tester does something REALLY stupid before the election, we will finally be rid of the do nothing Rich boy.

This helps Denny in two ways. It allows him to show that he is struggling, just like the rest of us. And, out establishes damages for his lawsuit against the fire department. Well played, Denny.

don’t buy in to this development . Rehburg not a place to live. They took 2000 dollars of our money said it was to finish our landscaping. Finished now they say oh you didn’t turn in a landscaping design. Buyers be ware of this development. If you read the fine print Jan rules this whole plce. Funny how Denny speaks about land owner rights but then when you buy in to their development they take them away. As soon as we can sell our house I will be doig some sharing all about this place. Please read everything before you even think of buying in here.
