Perennial losing candidate Republican Patty Lovaas, the source of the Montana’s GOP’s ‘proof’ of voter fraud in Montana, made yet ANOTHER ridiculous fraud claim. This time, KAJ reports that Lovaas alleges that a conspiracy is afoot that:
defrauded 700,000 property owners of $252 million by manipulating the property appraisal software.
Pogie at Intelligent Discontent had a great write-up on Lovaas’ other recent fraud claim, recently tossed out by yet another court, but I couldn’t resist adding a few points after this latest claim.
Remember, this is the person the GOP trots out any time they want to raise the specter of voter fraud. Republicans, you’ll recall, claim that voter fraud is the reason they must pass their vote suppression bills.
Lovaas’ ridiculous fraud allegations have gotten so bad that even the courts have pointed out that she’s wasting public resources. Apparently , the Republicans have no problem spending public funds to chase black helicopters. From the most recent dismissal:
Her repeated filings, however, consume inordinate resources and time, both from the Secretary of State and the Judicial system, resources and time that would be better devoted to the duties with which those offices are charged.
So next time the GOP starts screeching about “voter fraud” consider the source.
The court is frankly mystified by Lovaas’ actions in this regard….. Lovaas is either unwilling or unable to understand what is being told to her by these courts.
In fact, if she keeps it up, the court may consider “sanctions against Lovaas as may be appropriate.”
Further, any further pro se [acting as her own attorney] filings by Lovaas with regard to these matters will be viewed as vexations and harassing.
