A Do-Nothing Congressman No More

Rehberg unveils major jobs program

Plan addresses stalled economy; for once, Rehberg delivers

I know I’ve often criticized Denny Rehberg as a total loafer who spends his days drinking and doing little else.

But now he’s delivered, and delivered big.  With unemployment in America at record levels, Rehberg, long criticized for being a passive Congressman with little record of action or accomplishment, today announced a sweeping, major initiative for job creation and economic development.

The program is being widely hailed by liberal and conservative economists alike as a bold economic plan that will have an instant and forceful impact on the Montana economy, and will create more jobs than any plan currently being considered in Congress.

More to the point, Rehberg is finally working on what matters to Montanans. He seems to finally have realized that as a Congressman, you need to be immersed in whatever is the most pressing situation facing your constituents. This is a marked departure from where he has been before.  Jon Tester will now be in the fight of his life and will really have to come up big with a economic proposal in order to compete with Rehberg’s. No more may we say that Dennis Rehberg is a do nothing Congressman.

The Missoulian profiled the plan here.

    Hook, line and sinker.

Thanks for the belly laugh. Needed one after cussing John Deere all day.

That said, the Freedom From Religion people and what they do is not a laughing matter by any means. Just like faith means believing the unknowable, unfaith is the same. Plenty of sins in the name of God, plenty of ungodly sins on the secular side as well — the godless Commies took the prize there, read the Black Book of Communism.

I always wondered why leftie Chris Hitchens had come unhinged and become a warmonger, that was before I understood his evangelical atheism. I guess he’s gonna find out if he is right soon enough. And quite frankly, given what I’ve learned the past couple of weeks about the “freethinker” ideology, he deserves to be wrong.

I hear ya, Skinnerflute! And I’m thinkin’ that we need a NUTHER statue up there on the mountain! A statue of the REAL Jesus! Are ya WITH me on this one, Skinnerflute? I want a statue, a BIG statue, a TRUE TO LIFE statue of the REAL Jesus. A big, BLACK Jesus! He was black you know, historically speaking. I wonder, will Dopey approve of a big black man up there on the ski hill??? If’n the veterans are gonna honor the dude, DON’T honor him by making him lily white! Hell, that’s an insult. Make him black! God would approve.

For Dopey and Skinnerflute and their christofascist/racist pals!

“That an imaginative and superstitious race of black men should have invented and founded, in the dim obscurity of past ages, a system of religious belief that still enthralls the minds and clouds the intellects of the leading representatives of modern theology—that still clings to the thoughts and tinges with its potential influence the literature and faith of the civilized and cultured nations of Europe and America, is indeed a strange illustration of the mad caprice of destiny, of the insignificant and apparently trivial causes that oft produce the most grave and momentous results.”

I’ll translate for Skinnerflute. Jesus was NEGROID! Black as the ace of spades! The Bible SAYS so! Aint’ that a beeyach! Kinda puts a new light on things, don’t it? Luv it! Now, let’s REALLY honor them vets and put Montana on the map for Dopey’s reee-election. Let’s put NEGROID Jesus up there on the hill and I personally will not object! But to dishonor the Lord with a lily white femmy-looking Dopey approved PANDER Jesus just won’t cut it.

Yeah, I love Jon Tester, but this ad wasn’t my favorite. It makes him look desperate that he would have to put something so trivial out there, and he doesn’t have to do that. Also, the ad looks like an intern made it. I realize the campaign didn’t make this, but it’s not so great.

Jesus Saves so SAVE JESUS! Join Dopey Reeburp in his crusade to SAVE THE SAVIOR! Donate today! Save our Skibum JAYsus, and help us stick it to all the humanistic sexular humanists and ATHEists! Now it’s PERSONAL! Skibum Jaysus is Dopey’s personal savior, and Dopey’s mad as hell and ain’t gonna TAKE it any more! It’s time to take a stand for the LAWYORD and keep Skibum JAYsus on the slopes! Dopey’s right and righteeeous on this one! Good job, Dopey Reeburp! May the Farce be with you!

Must be that election year is coming, so please don’t worry. Next week Congressman Rehberg will cure cancer, and herpies and carpotunnel sydrome, and then on the second Tuesday of the sixth week of December look out because Congressman Rehberg will put on the Superman cape and solve the national debt. Stay tuned.

I like the ad but the most disturbing part to me was not the use of stock photo seniors but “This mailing was prepared, published and mailed at taxpayer expense”

  5. Hal

I agree, campaigning on taxpayer expense is way worse than using a stock photo-thing is, the stock photo saves more taxpayer money from being wasted. Whomever created this didn’t think it through.

Hal, the “franking privilege” is abused by all politicians. In my collection I have junk mail from Tester shilling for the FJRA wilderness bill, four nice, tidy bullet point fibs paid for by taxpayers. Got some other stuff from Minimax, too. It’s BIPARTISAN.

    • Hal

Talk about abuse…I got an update from Tester and it contained missing persons alerts for lost babies. What a prick that Tester (sarcasm). Rehberg only thinks of himself.

John 4:43-54 John 5:1-15 Mark 2:1-12 Mark 1:21-28 Mark 1:29-34 Mark 1:40-45 Luke 4:31-37 Luke 5:17-26 Luke 4:38-41 Luke 5:12-16 Matthew 8:14-17 Matthew 4:23-25 Matthew 8:1-4 Matthew 9:1-8 and the Bible Goes on and on!

Amazing what a non practicing Jew knows about the bible! To bad the GOP cant say the same!
