So Mutch for That

Ken Miller’s campaign manager has resigned, raising questions about the future of his campaign.

William Mutch has taken a job with the Colorado Springs Home Builders Association as Government Affairs Director.   If the former manager had left for a more exciting-sounding job, it would be easier to make the case that Mutch only left for that reason.  As it is, it may be a sign that the Miller campaign has come to an end.

The Miller campaign made a big deal about Mutch when he first came on.  At the time, Mutch said he found the race “extremely exciting.” Mutch even sent out a long e-mail declaring essentially that his entire career had culminated in this moment.  The bio page for Mutch on the Colorado Springs Home Builders Association website makes no mention of his most recent post.

  1. The miller campaign is in good hands. William got a good opportunity and went back to colorado. Lots of volunteers and good on the ground organization. The beat goes on!

  2. So, this means the campaign can’t afford to pay staff anymore, but that Miller hasn’t seen the writing on the wall.

  3. There is something going on that has nothing to do with consultants and money. The people are leading the move for change. Exciting times.

What horseshit, Dave. Miller is a fundiwackmentalist kook. And you think that’s what we need?! Seriously?

    • So its all about the people…starting when the campaign manager quit. Yeah. Ok.

    • Dear Dave Lewis what are you drinking or smoking? I need some you are out of touch with reality your man Ken Miller is about as qualified to be governor as my four year old cousin is qualified to run a lemonade stand.

  4. While it is no surprise to anyone that I really don’t like Miller (I think he is one more TeaParty toting idiot trying to ram religion down our throats instead of actually working to make things better for Montana), I can’t quite buy the connection you are trying to make here, Cowgirl. I think it is a stretch to try to connect Mulch leaving the campaign to anything other than Mulch taking a well paying job in Colorado – the state he has spent years building ties with the communities, businesses and politicians. Unless you have something else to offer on this subject, any conjecture as to why he left is just that – conjecture. I am sure Mulch is laughing all the way to the bank.

Further, I see no reason to conclude that Miller is out of money. According the numbers posted on his campaign, he certainly isn’t in the financial straits some of the other candidates are. Miller isn’t likely to win the primary anyway.

    • Um, maybe, Moorcat, it’s also because Miller is polling at about 1%.

      • Again, you are guessing. Yes, Miller is not polling well, but the primary is six months off. I am more inclined to believe that an oppurtunity (a well paid oppurtunity, btw) was presented to Mulch and he took it. I certainly don’t fault him for that. It is likely a much better prospect than managing a campaign that will be over (one way or the other) either in June or November.

Not to worry. The Holey Underwear Dude, tommy burnutz, is on it! In today’s GF Spitoon, tommy’s gonna fix cronyism AND the state time sheet policy! He’s gonna use technology, JUST like guv mark racicrotch and the Pubbies did to the state computer system! Wow. That worked so well! Tommy sees stealing EVERwhere in state gubmint. And he don’t like it one little bit! He’s Scoop Adams’ new best buddy!|newswell|text|Frontpage|p

The GF Spitoon continues their unending quest for the highest quality journalistic flatulence!

    • Folks this Tom Burnett letter is a frightening reminder of just how dumb the people are who are making the laws in this state. Tom Burnett is a moron of the first degree. A simple call to the state, as I made to my sister, could have confirmed for him that the time sheet is already computerized. Nothing can be done about his inability to understand that one unproven anecdote does not prove his case against 20,000 state employees.

Tommy exhibits the most telling trait of ALL the Fundiwackmentalists from the last Lege. It’s their assHoliness! This is exactly why miller is polling one percent. Most folks are tired of their assHoliness!

    • You know, as someone who admires cowgirl’s information and insights, I have to say that you are annoying as heck.

You’ve heard maybe of an inconvenient truth? Well, there is also something called annoying TRVTH! Someone has to put it out there.

  6. This is a race between Livingstone, Essmann, and Hill. Always has been, always will be. Whomever wins the primary will be a virtual shoe in for the general because of the unpopularity of the man at the top of the ticket, Barack Obama.

Racist ahole. You see, Drildo, I have a problem with the guy at the top of YOUR ticket, G-O-D! You’re simply a racist assHolier than thou moron, dude.

Dream On Baby! Dream on! none of the GOP candidates will win Because Barack Obama is a man with a plan! and the rest of the GOP is just spitting on superman’s cape! Since he has been elected we have had 22 straight months of job growth, 17 tax breaks for small business! He has given our Indian Nation brothers more Autonomy to care for their people… and our democratic senators are helping also to clean-up the mess left behind by Bush against our Native brothers!

All our children have access to health care… workers cannot be kick off their insurance when they get sick, and Federal dollars are pouring in to strengthen our infrastructure and deliver Montanans Jobs!

You people have done nothing but Lie Lie Lie about our accomplishments as democrats for the working Montanan! Your fear mongering is done here… Bullock will win as governor and the state will slip farther and farther away from the like of Rehbergbots who wish to destroy our clean water and air!

Tester and Obama have done everything in their power to help our farmers and ranchers by losing stupid regulations… and continue to gut regulations that make no sense! They have done tremendously well making sure our veterans are cared for…. and all you can muster is LIES against them!

No Fact, No Proof, No scientific studies to back your claims all you can point to is naming post offices and saying no to anything that benefits Montanans!

Then there is your weird far off Conversational dribbling of your understanding for how the states constitution and the country’s Constitution works! Obviously, you people who know not a damn lick of our history, the GOP just goes and make things up about it…. hoping no one else will notice!

Keep dreaming as the rest of us Montanans have our feet solidly planted in reality! While you are snoozing and fearmongering on the job…. the rest of us our marching forward! To a better life for all Montanans, and a better future

    • the lizard and the mittster have to be on bear-rack’s payroll…
that’s the only way they could be working so effectively FOR him.
      talk about clowns.

  7. shoo-in…a shoe-in would be hoof-in-mouth disease….

  8. That is a darn shame I thought for sure Mutts would lead Miller to the nomination. This is the same Mutts that had the ethics violations in Colorado right?

  9. Farmboy, two terms as a state senator equals a whole lot of degrees, My goodness, I am living evidence of that!

    • Larry Kralj, Environmental Rangers | January 26, 2012 10:23 PM at 10:23 PM |

No it doesn’t, Dave. That’s silly. To hold the highest elected office in the state one must at LEAST have a college degree. How many excellent colleges and universities do we have in this state? And yet miller could not find one that he could attend? Why?

Sumthin’ real wrong with that. He lacks education, initiative, and sophistication. He’s a rube who will fall for anything as evidenced by his fundiwackmenatilist religeeous beliefs. To say that he’s as qualified as someone who actually had the discipline to complete a course of study and recieve a degree is ridiculous, and demeans the efforts of everyone who has done so.

We don’t NEED/DESERVE a Jan Brewer or another Judy Mars as our governor. We already tried stoopid. It didn’t work out so well for us.
