Now THAT’S damn funny! And so true.

  • Jennifer Davies

I love the anchorman pic. Rehberg is a walking joke. And the last one- a scared deer in the headlights. I would only add one more, some kind of hard drinking rage pic

  • Dallas Reese

This is hilarious; “Do Nothin’ Denny” in all his iterations!!!!

  • Ingemar Johansson

The biggest joke of all will be when “do nothing Denny” tramples Flat Top.

  • Hector

Judging by Denny’s lack of grass roots support from Montanans he is going to need his shady, corporate super pac to win.

  • larry kurtz

Rehberg’s dismissal of firefighter lawsuit makes list of significant fire events of 2011 hosted at South Dakota-based Wildfire Today.

It’s rather telling how bad things are for Tester, when a friendly far left blog can’t make a case for him on accomplishments. To resort to childish attacks on Rehberg is desperate. The Tester drum must be embarrassingly small if there is no one to beat it and those that would hear it would respond with “WTF is that!” Rehberg continues to lead Tester in the polls: Rehberg 46 percent, Tester 43 percent. I’m sure the other 11 percent will be sooooo impressed with the cartoons, name calling, distortions, half-truths, misdirections, and Larryisms that find favor here.

  • It’s rather telling how bad things are for Tester, when a friendly far left blog can’t make a case for him on accomplishments.

That might be where you really fucked up, Craig. You’re expecting that a far left blog is at all friendly. Do you think them such? Are you convinced that anyone here should, just because we are all ‘lefties’? Are you claiming that you’re smarter than us lefties are? If you don’t trust them, then why should anyone else, including us lefties? And for future reference, you might want to post a link. If you’re going to troll the left, at least inspire the fireworks …

Blogs don’t matter that at all. What you call “far left” with no evidence matters vastly less. I think you’re wrong, Craig. I don’t think your claim is “rather telling” at all.

    • Craig Moore

Rob, “fucked up?” You are taking this far toooo seriously. But if this lefty blog ever holds Tester to account please point it out. I should add that ya’ll aren’t just ‘lefties’ but very ‘prickly lefties’ given the knee-jerk emotionalism so often displayed here.

      • larry kurtz

The DNC is gearing up to crush Rehberg. In fact, expect the President to do well in Montana this year, too.

All of the major polling firms, even the consultant to the earth hater party, Rasmussen, is showing strength for Mr. Obama among voters self-identifying as ‘independent.’

(Cowgirl, i am having a difficult time linking anything from interested party to your blog: is it something i did?)

        • Craig Moore

Larry you can’t be serious. The Dems Public Policy Polling shows otherwise: http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2011/12/obama-doing-poorly-in-montana.html

Only 39% of voters in the state approve of the job he’s doing to 56% who disapprove, and he trails all of his GOP opponents by margins ranging from 2-10 points.

Obama’s troubles in Montana are indicative of his broader issues with white voters. He’s fallen a lot further with white voters than either African Americans or Hispanics so in states with pretty much all white populations like Montana, New Hampshire, Iowa, and Wisconsin he’s doing a lot worse relative to 2008 than in states like North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia that have more diverse electorates.

Obama’s doing very poorly with independents, only 36% of whom approve of him while 57% disapprove. And Republicans (93%) are far more united in their disapproval of him than Democrats (81%) are in their approval.

There’s not a huge electability gap in Montana between the two Republican front runners. Mitt Romney leads Obama by 10 points at 50-40 and Newt Gingrich has an 8 point advantage at 50-42. Ron Paul matches Gingrich’s 8 point lead at 48-40 and this is yet another state where he’s the strongest candidates with independents, leading Obama 50-35 with them.

What’s maybe most striking about Obama’s fall in Montana is that he’s even trailing Rick Perry and Herman Cain, who he’s dominating in head to heads in most states. It doesn’t look like Montana would fall into the Democratic column even if the GOP nominated one of it weakest candidates. Obama trails Perry by 3 points at 46-43 and Cain by 2 points at 45-43.

I love it when someone Con, sites Last year polling!

          • larry kurtz

What Ms. Duffy said, Mr. Moore. If Romney is the nominee ip will personally buy you coffee at the place of your choice: ip called Santorum back in August.

            • Norma Duffy AKA ILIKEWOODS

Exactly, Too Early! And us lefties basically follow Nate Silver! who really hasn’t made a choice yet cause our senate race, is still up in the air, and Montanans do not get engaged till after the primary! To tell you the truth I said here on this blog, the GOP will struggle for any presidential pick right into April as well! They don’t mention Romney in my town much… even though we have an LDS church here!

As for the Conservative poll you just picked, the one who it discounted by almost every decent poller in the nation….

I can go to one out of Missoula, done by a talk radio show, last month, that has Tester up by 30% Points! And I consider that one more accurate and telling then Crossroads GPS, the well-funded sister organization of American Crossroads! because Rove will lie to fellow republicans to keep them Placated!

          • Lynn

That poll was done BEFORE Mitt released his Taxes……

      • ILIKEWOODS AKA Norma Duffy

Lefties write what they want on a leftie blog….Please go elsewhere to find the lying crapola, you speak of Craig!

        • Craig Moore

Go elsewhere? Gosh Norma you epitomize the stiff, prickly, humorless lefty.

          • Norma Duffy AKA ILIKEWOODS

The reason I say this, you keep butting heads with Lefties (By the way us Irish spell it Lefty’s). If you feel you are being ignored, go where you will welcomed! With other your own kind!

If your trying to fit in more here… I suggest you ask more questions from us lefty people, before asking, not telling us to prove why we think our Ideas are better! Your gonna find this new generation of Lefty’s use more science based data, and more of a modern approach to morality then just religion… though we use Religious values too… just not the “Eye for an eye,” kind all the time!

Let me give you a heads up about the Lefty’s of today!

More likely we Lefy’s use the golden rule: (Positive form): One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself. Or,The Silver Rule: One should not treat others in ways that one would not like to be treated. Those rules are in every form of religion, and are considered the high moral ground to stand on, and to base our Politics.

Honestly, I, like a lot of what the new generation of Lefty’s believe… the GOP has been running away from the last two Principles since Reagan left office and country for the ranch! Over 200 of his people resigned or arrested for ethic Violations against the core of this country… the GOP party literally left in the dark as to what his administration did to start crony capitalism. and the Majority of the GOP didn’t left a finger to stop the darkness!

Our side knows the old Dems are compliant in that stupidity too! My take on the last generation of Dems is, they sat on the work that they did, (Civil Rights, Medicare, Social Security)and grew fat and meek! My Guess is in the late 80′s they Figured we had some good legislative work on the table, and went off and partied somewhere!

Meanwhile, the public struggled with good lawyers and Bad, writing good and bad precedent that undid a lot of what this entire country stood for…Left and right!

It takes a legal research team just to sift through the Precedent…. cause the laws don’t always mean what they say anymore!

I get it, I understand this, and your frustrations, and so do most Democrats! Maybe you Cons don’t, but we do and we have rolled up our sleeves to work….while the Majority of your GOP Politicians, have sold themselves off years ago to corporations for those lobbyist jobs when they retire, and forgot to send their base the Memo!

It isn’t big Government that should scare you, we believe it is your party! We have been kicking our folks off the lazy chairs, and putting them back to work or retiring them… you cons need to do the same on your end! Those political people you hire, are supposed to work for you not the Cato Institute, heritage foundation, or Koch Brothers! When you stop all the hemorrhaging to corporations on your side, you people are gonna find we are not all that different to us Lefties after all!

      • Dallas Reese

With Rehberg’s list of accomplishments in his 8 years (0 accomplished, no laws passed, no jobs created, no taxes reduced, no regulations simplified, no nothing – was he even there?) there’s nothing to discuss but his Bachmanian view of the world. He has nothing.

  • Havre Voter

People that are not political junkies are not paying attention to this race right now. Wait until August or September, then you add all the veterens, and the farmers, and the college students, and the labor union people, My prediction Tester beats Rehberg, it will be within 1500 votes and there will be a recount cause Rehberg will be a cry baby, but at the end of the day, I believe in my heart of hearts, that the Montana people will see through the games of Rehberg and his corporate sponsors, and will be fed up with him and throw him out to the Rehberg Ranch Estates. Also there is another factor in here, first off congress has a less then 13% approval rating, when you picture a careeer politician like Rehberg up against the last active farmer in the US Senate Tester, and you show a pic of Tester out on a tractor on his farm, and a pic of Rehbergs boat wreck. Montana citizens will vote Tester.

  • Craig Moore

IN the spirit of humor and funny faces, what do prickly lefties look like with this Supreme Ct. decision:

    By Associated Press, 02-17-12
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Friday blocked a Montana court ruling upholding limits on corporate campaign spending. The state court ruling appears to be at odds with the high court’s 2010 decision striking down a federal ban on those campaign expenditures.

The justices put the Montana ruling on hold while they consider an appeal from corporations seeking to be free of spending limits. The state argues, and the Montana Supreme Court agreed, that political corruption gave rise to the century-old ban on corporate campaign spending.

In the 2010 Citizens United case, a sharply divided Supreme Court ruled that independent spending by corporations does “not give rise to corruption or the appearance of corruption.”

    • Dave Skinner

Well, if America survives this next election….perhaps one or two of the survivors can come up with a constitutional campaign finance system.
Wow, is it gonna be ugly.

    • Ingemar Johansson

      Let the wailing begin.

    • We must all stock up on Valium, Prozac, and our favorite bourbon if we want to get through this.

    • Norma Duffy AKA ILIKEWOODS

Its only on Hold Craig, and though it disappoints me that a Virginia Based PAC has to come into Montana, and try and save the Montana conservatives scrawny butts this election, I think it will fire up our base to do the right thing anyway! Remember, you corporate guys couldn’t pull your Goofy voting laws nor kill the unions off here… Cause Our Gov had a veto branding party!

We will be fine, as we beat you anyway!

      • Craig Moore

Norma, it was a unanimously ruling by the Supreme Court. They have no obligation to revisit the matter. What should fire up everybody is Tester’s cowardly rejection of Rehberg’s offer that both candidates return money from all lobbyists, PACs and out-of-state donors and refuse same moving forward. Tester was disingenuous and got called for it. Can you imagine him returning all that cash from the New York banks for carrying their water on card fees?

        • Norma Duffy AKA ILIKEWOODS

You do not read very well, it is on the docket for later, and its called a stay! Stop trying to Lie to others on this thread! it is to be heard again!

Rob was right about you, There is no credibility in you whatsoever! just on your continued Lying alone, you should be Ignored for trying to dupe the Public

          • Craig Moore

Norma, once again you reveal the humorless, emotional, prickly, stiff lefty you are. I read just fine: http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2012/02/supreme-court-blocks-montana-campaign-finance-ruling-114900.html

Until the cert petition is filed and the justices agree to hear it, there is NO commitment to revisit the matter. See the Court’s ruling: http://www.supremecourt.gov/orders/courtorders/021712zr1.pdf

            FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2012
            ORDER IN PENDING CASE
11A762 AMERICAN TRADITION PARTNERSHIP, INC., ET AL. V. BULLOCK, ATT’Y GEN. OF MT, ET AL. The application for stay presented to Justice Kennedy and by him referred to the Court is granted, and the Montana Supreme Court’s December 30, 2011, decision in case No. DA 11-0081, is stayed pending the timely filing and disposition of a petition for a writ of certiorari. Should the petition for a writ of certiorari be denied, this stay shall terminate automatically. In the event the petition for a writ of certiorari is granted, the stay shall terminate upon the issuance of the mandate of this Court.

Norma, better hope they reject cert.

            • I find Norma’s comments to be insightful, fun, and informative. Keep up the good work sister!

            • Norma Duffy AKA ILIKEWOODS

It is a stay: The act of temporarily stopping a judicial proceeding through the order of a court. I worked for countless years as a Legal resercher for civil rights lawyers, death penalty lawyers and criminal Lawyers! You do not know what your talking about!

It will be months before they rule on this cuz they will wait to see how bad citizens United becomes, before rendering Judgement! Its not over, and you saying it does means absolutely nothing to intelligent folks!

              • Norma Duffy AKA ILIKEWOODS

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a dissenter in Citizens United, issued a brief statement for herself and Justice Stephen Breyer saying that campaign spending since the decision makes “it exceedingly difficult to maintain that independent expenditures by corporations ‘do not give rise to corruption or the appearance of corruption.’”

Ginsburg appeared to be referring to the rise of unregulated super PACs that have injected millions of dollars into the Republican presidential campaign. She said the case “will give the court an opportunity to consider whether, in light of the huge sums currently deployed to buy candidates’ allegiance, Citizens United should continue to hold sway.”

              • Craig Moore

Last I check, stays are rulings. With someone such as you with such vast legal knowledge, you should understand that until the cert petition is filed and the justices agree to hear it, there is NO commitment to revisit the matter.

Now pressing on I’m quite certain the parties will file the requisite petition for cert. Once they do the court will likely consider it as they said in their ruling:

Should the petition for a writ of certiorari be denied, this stay shall terminate automatically. In the event the petition for a writ of certiorari is granted, the stay shall terminate upon the issuance of the mandate of this Court.

As was noted in the Poltico link I provided above:

Many campaign finance law experts have predicted that once a formal petition to take up the case is filed with the Supreme Court, the justices will summarily overturn the Montana ruling without full briefing or argument. However, Ginsburg and Breyer, who were both dissenters in Citizens United, seemed to be lobbying their colleagues to hold a full hearing on the Montana case.

“It could be that what that concurrence was [from Ginsburg and Breyer] was lobbying the other members of the court, but five members can still summarily reverse once the cert petition is filed,” said Jim Bopp, the lawyer who argued the challenge to the Montana law and who asked the Supreme Court to issue the stay it imposed Friday. Even Montana’s Judge Molloy thinks the Montana decision will be reversed.

                • Craig Moore

correction: The sentence “Even Montana’s Judge Molloy thinks the Montana decision will be reversed.” was mine and not intended to be in the quote.

                • Dallas Reese

The stay is effective until or when ATP files to have the MT Supreme Court ruling overturned. If they fail to file within 6 weeks, the stay is lifted and the MT ruling stands. When and if they file, the SCOTUS will decide whether to take up the case or not. Then, depending on their decision, the hearing will be scheduled for, probably sometime this fall. There’s a ways to go on this yet.

                  • Craig Moore

Dallas, not exactly. They have 90 days after entry of the judgment by the Montana Sup Ct to file their petition “timely.” The US Supreme Ct. is not obligated to schedule a hearing if they rule summarily, takes only 5 judges.

                    • Norma Duffy AKA ILIKEWOODS

Craig two SC Judges already said they will review it so your argument goes right out the window! The Plaintiffs Have to write a certorri first and it has to be given the chance to be answered by Montana!

Then it has to be judged! That’s at least seven Months down the road! If other states file saying they have a right to speak against Citizens United as well…. Whole new ball game. Certorri gets denied and all the states get to present evidence against citizens united!

I am guessing that is what is gonna happen, and the clock is ticking now! Ginsburg and Breyer gave us that breather, and will be lobbying the rest of the court to deny Citizens United a victory!!

                  • Lynn

                    we shall see….

the MSM media loves Citizens United because of the Ad revenue it creates so their not saying a word but…the rethugs are eating their own, Newt’s threatening to sue TV Stations, Mitt’s negative ads have cost him endorsements

                    http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2012/02/18/428619/supreme-court-stays-montana-decision-undermining-citizens-united/

  • Havre Voter

Agreed – it’s going to be a total freak show.

  • lisa o'conner

I don’t quite get why this is funny. No offense intended. I just don’t get it. Perhaps I am too old.

  • Buckminster

I find it amusing that considering the many issues facing Montana, fully 80 percent of the emails I have received from Mr. Rehberg in the last 2 months have dealt with the concrete statue of Jesus on the hill at Big Mountain. Really? Keystone XL, MSTI, infrastructure problems in eastern MT due to the recent oil boom in the Bakken? Really? Concrete Jesus?

    • Norma Duffy AKA ILIKEWOODS

Yeah I get those too! Then there is the twitter hashtag sillyness he posts about. Like: What he is gonna do for Montana… never his record in Congress to prove how worthy he is… cause he doesn’t have one Montanans would like!
