The Last Thing Rick Hill Wants

The last thing that Rick Hill wanted to see happen will now be happening.

Representatives of 371 Productions announced plans for a reality show about the Sip ‘n Dip Tiki Bar in Great Falls, MT.  The lounge is the site of Rick Hill’s infamous adulterous episode.  Basically, Hill’s first wife once put her three children in the car and drove to the Sip and Dip, where Hill was hanging out with the barmaid with whom Hill was cheating. They asked daddy to come home, but he told them to scram. The Great Falls Tribune reported the incident at the time. Hill is still among a group of Republican’s seeking the party’s nomination for Governor.

The Great Falls Tribune is reporting that a film crew spent a couple of days on location:

filming interviews of people applying to be mermaids in the O’Haire Motor Inn pool, which is visible through a glass wall in The Sip ‘n Dip. They filmed [the woman who runs the place] sewing mermaid costumes and interacting with staff, as well as a mermaid performance.

The pilot will be pitched to cable networks.

Don’t mean to be rude but I’m a lifelong Democrat and don’t understand what you have against Hill. You mislead folks to think he is claiming to be a native. You say by having a similar name for a video he is stealing the holy grail of our party. Given the many years since what you claimed here to have happened, you seem to be the one seeing mermaids. You’re distracted from the fact that he has good solutions to everyday problems. Our party doesn’t have a platform worth stealing. We’ve got to get our act together and focus on creating real jobs, not flimsy rumors. We need to wrestle our party back from those pulling us away from what made America great. In Montana we should be leading the revitalization of our traditional economies and using those benefits to fund a better education for our kids, new and cleaner technologies and helping those who really can’t help themselves. Instead we choose a poor, jobless utopia where the government props up even those could stand alone. In this their is no dignity or compassion. The one thing us old coots at coffee can agree on is that we might soon be too far gone. If we have a candidate half as good I can hardly tell. We need to get back to the belief that everything springs from a good, honest day’s work and that society can only help those less fortunate from a position of prosperity.

Don’t mean to derail this thread but if you’ve ever been to the Sip ‘n Dip, watched the mermaids and listened to Piano Pat … well, can’t wait to see the movie.

Why do people on these forums always start their attack of democrats with “I”m a lifelong democrat…but…” Please! We know you are a republican coming on here to defend Hill from all angles, just like your kind does on the Billings Gazette et. al.

Do not really care who or what Whiskey is, but noticed that everyone avoided addressing what he said. Pete, Whiskey shut down this lame thread in the first post.

Dear Republicans, Go get your own blog. Oh, that’s right, you have one, but Treasure State Politics doesn’t allow comments. Is it that you are afraid of what the opposition might say to your brand of dumb, or just that you know that know one cares enough to bother leaving a comment. Meh.

They don’t allow comments? What freakin’ WUSSIES! HEY, it ain’t called the market place of ideas for nuthin’! Hey, Pubbie dudes, please put your ideas out there for all to see so’s we can shove them up your ass! It’s kind of a hobby of ours.

Funny, I’ve never even heard of treasure state politics, yet EVERYone reads Cowgirl blog! No guts, no glory, no READERS! Sad, so sad that Pubbies are such cowards.
