TEA Party Legislators Thank Judge for Racist Comments

Three Montana TEA Party legislators issued their support for a federal judge in the state who sent racist emails, the Great Falls Tribune/AP reported today.

Rep. David Howard, R-TEA Park City, wrote of Judge Richard Cebull, who sent the racist email:

“Thank you for exercising your unalienable right of Free Speech. May God Bless you in everything you do.”

Rep. Ken Peterson, R-TEA Billings, said he doesn’t think emailing around racist content “reflects in any way on his ability to be a judge.”

Rep. Jesse O’Hara, R-TEA Great Falls, said he is “100% in agreement with Peterson.”

Judge Cebull emailed a racist joke about President Obama’s mother.  He told his friends he found the racist joke “touching” and so had to send it on.  Several Montana newspapers and watchdog groups are calling for Cebull to resign.

  1. Oh you have got to be kidding! This takes the cake. Holy Stupid Racist A**holes!

    I. Have. No. Words.

  2. So much for the claim that the TEA Party aren’t racists! Did you know Peterson had adopted an Indian son? This is incredible…

  3. TOM Cebull? Try again.

  4. So…..anybody know anybody in Park City? PLEASE somebody stand up and run against Howard….

    If I were in that district – I would. What a slimeball……

But – he considers sick folks “scourge” anyways…..so toss in some racism and homophobism….Voila! Dave Howard!

  5. Observation

If David Howard is a retired law enforcement officer, I would question his detective and investigative abilities.

A simple google search reveals not only is cannabis medicine, but there are continuing education credits for not only doctors and nurses, but pharmacists as well!

Pretty simple detective work….a google search.

If he cannot employ such simple investigative measures, how on EARTH can he maintain his seat in the House?

    What’s UP Park City?!?!

  6. On one last note…..Howard states an ‘Unalienable” right to free speech.

YET – in SB423 – he pushed to ban advertising in direct opposition of free speech!

Rollin where the tide suits him….yet again.

Ken Peterson already has a hate agenda towards gays … it wasn’t a stretch for him I’m sure to go a tad further, and attack women and Blacks as well, by standing with Cebull! Kens Hurtful comments publicly to others as a “officer of the court”( Attorney Speak for lawyers) makes me wonder why he hasn’t been called on an ethics violation Yet!

    My personal advice:

If your a minority, or a woman, find a way to stay out of that mans court! I do not believe you will be equally treated by Cebull as judge! Since only congress can dump the guy for his inappropriate behavior, and Republicans in US congress have a majority at this time, and cebull is a GOP member himself…. make sure your lawyer makes you stand before anyone else in the federal system if you find yourself in federal court in Montana. You can ask for another judge because of this incident! Lets make sure all remember that!

  8. GOP Judge tied to Howard and Peterson

How many Cannabis folks shall we play the death march for now?

Get ready – prison system engage eh?

Better clean house Montanans. I’m workin on my areas…..get out yer brooms.

    Time to clean The House!

  9. Can someone tell me why Rep. O’Hara’s Facebook page is hull of posts by th legislatir himself about beautiful young women?

    It’s a little creepy.

  10. I’ve read all of the comments regarding what makes Cebull’s comments racist and I acknowledge that I’m apparently not open-minded enough to see things the same way. As an impartial arbiter of the law, I hold federal judges to higher standards however and a perception of impropriety isn’t acceptable in such a case. Do I believe Cebull is a racist? Absolutely not. Did he exercise extraordinarily poor judgment? Yep. And there isn’t room for such in a man of his position. Now any support from professional bigots like Howard and Peterson….. ugh. EEEEEEK!!!!! Both of those men make me ashamed to have voted Republican and I will do whatever I can to see them both forcibly evicted from the party. More likely though, that will be my fate.

  11. Judge Cebull is a misogynist first, and racist second.

Rep. David Howard seems more than a little unclear on the concept of the judicial canons….leaving one to imagine what his thought process, or his imagined thought process, might be like.

As for Rep. Ken Peterson? He simply appears to be the ditto boy.

  12. 83 vacancies on the bench, the President has only made nominations for 39. 860 federal judges, the first American Indian nominee has been blocked by the diversity/woman/earth hater party.
