Dennis Rehberg Finally Reads the Highway Bill

Remember how upset Montanans were when Congressman Dennis Rehberg and the U.S. House of Representatives failed to pass the Senate’s bipartisan Highway Bill?  The legislation also included long-term stability for the Secure Rural Schools and Payments In Lieu of Taxes programs, prompting county leaders to urge Rehberg to follow the Senate’s lead.

For nearly two months, Dennis Rehberg ignored them.  And now, after weeks of inaction that has resulted in construction delays and threats to the health of Montana’s highways and schools, Dennis Rehberg is just now getting around to reading the Senate’s bill. (The highway bill passed with a bipartisan vote of 74 to 22).

I guess it’s nice that Rehberg finally started paying attention.  On Tuesday, he sent this press release raising a concern over a provision in the bill about data recorders in new vehicles.  That’s something the Bush Administration authorized way back in 2006.  So the real question is: Why didn’t Dennis Rehberg raise concern over this issue six years ago?

This has to be a typo or misprint or somthing. Do-nothin’ Denny hasn’t done a thing in his 10 years in Congress and now you expect us to believe he actually READ something?

Im Glad Testers ADs are so Positive. Hope they stay that way. And I see them every day now which is good. I’d like to see how Denny is gonna promote himself, since he hasn’t done anything positive for this state in ten years. All he can do is go negative on Tester

So do you people have a life other than stroking each other off with witty posts?

Thought there may be intelligent conversation with adults here, but this place is a typical sewer pit full of vile, hateful liberals

AHhhhh the vengeful retort of a Politically lost man, who found out he really isn’t as witty and caring as he thought he was……

Besides Rehberg not reading the part about the IRS, your passport and back tax collection of $50K+ without due process does that include all the jerks who voted for it?
