Gov. Brian Schweitzer appeared on the “Late Show with David Letterman” last night as part of a New York City tour promoting Montana products and Montana as a vacation destination. Here’s the video:

Every single year, at the time of Passover/Easter, I watch The Ten Commandments. It is a marvelous tale, well directed, superbly told, visually stunning and supremely well acted. The message is that God brought freedom into the world through his law. That’s a terrific message, one I will relive for years to come. And I don’t believe a word of it. The import is powerful, regardless of the lie that conveys it. The freedom of all humankind is to be valued.
That’s the tale that Schweitzer told. We didn’t bring it about, but Wilderness is to be valued nonetheless. If attributing that to God helps the message along, then who are you or I to say otherwise without arguing against the message?

Interesting, Norma: the governor said at Daily Beast that Montana won’t vote for President Obama but in Hunt interview he said to go to Vegas with a 60/40 Montana vote for Obama.
