Meet the TEA Party GOP’s Holy Trinity of Hate

Tim Ravndal doesn't understand that no one wants to read tea-bag news.Jason Priest, GOP New Rising Star?First there was Tim Ravndal who made national news for his violent anti-gay comments  that implied his support for the public hanging of gay citizens.

Then there was Sen. Jason Priest, (R-TEA Red Lodge) who used “hateful, homophobic talk” to argue his dislike for paying taxes.

Now, there is Rep. Champ Edmunds (R), of Missoula to compete the trifecta.  Rep. Edmunds came out against a federal probe into the way the University of Montana handled (at least) 80 rape allegations.  Edmunds says the investigation is just a ruse help Joe Biden.  Intelligent Discontent has the story.  It’s today’s must read political blog post.

Champ Edmunds there is a real winner there, the guy hates Vietnam War veterens and state troopers, cause he was against honoring them, all while wrapping himself up in the bible and the flag, what a hypocite. Now he is against investigating rape claims by U of M students. He is also a voice on the outdoor radio and probley hates hunters and fishermen. Plus he is a banker tool.

Say what is the difference between the Westboro Baptist Church and Chump Edmunds. Answer Nothing at all.

Pretty scary isn’t it……… whatever happened to “Justice for all.” Did Certain Republicans just decide one day, it was to hard to do. Isn’t that the whole part of being in this country where there is “Justice for all?”

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.

Chymp seems to be saying that Biden is trumping up this investigation to pass the violence against women act. That’s ludicrous – the sheer number of allegations here is reason enough to pass the bill – federal involvement or no.

If these three got together and tried to figure out how men should handle their unruly wives the answer would probably be something to do with Second Amendment Rights.

  6. Champ Interpreter

I’ll explain it: basically Rep. Edmunds is saying Biden is so dumb because every knows it’s perfectly fine to beat and stalk your wife, the b**** asked for it when she refused to make him a sammich!

That picture of Ravndal makes me laugh every time. I hear if Ken Miller is elected Ravndal will be appointed Colonel of the 69th regiment of the Broadwater County Homeguard.

    Now hang on here.
Edmunds posted to “social media” a KGVO (read-”mainstream press”) story. Where’s THAT? ICD isn’t saying, and Cow”girl” is cranking off the same extrapolation.
Edmunds didn’t originate the speculation…and you can’t tell me that DOJ is apolitical in a closely-contested state with the Senate leadership up in 2012.
Regardless, what is going on at UM is just unacceptable, and if the local LEOs are unable to make heads roll — that includes Van W, Bullock, and possibly the Board of Regents, then perhaps DOJ should be involved, without trying to score political hay.
Colleges are supposed to be wild — but the wildness is supposed to be strictly voluntary.

    • Champ Interpreter

Yes, what is posted to social media is never actually what anyone means to say! Totally dude!

      • Champ Interpreter

**sarcasm***This defense of Champ is just a variation on the “he didn’t know anyone in the media would see what he publicly posted on the internet, so he’s a hero and a saint.” Puh-lease.

        • Dave Skinner

Oh, geeze, here’s a direct pull quote from Keiza Szpaller (sorry on the spelling) in the Missoulian from the IDC linkie:
Republican state lawmaker Champ Edmunds shared on social media a KGVO story questioning whether the probe is meant to highlight vice president Joe Biden’s Violence Against Women Act since it’s the first time the DOJ has probed a county attorney’s office.

“I don’t think that’s ever happened in the history of the Department of Justice,” said Edmunds, of Missoula. “I’m curious why they’re going after (County Attorney Fred Van Valkenburg) the way they are. I’ll be interested to see their findings.”

What the heck is wrong with that? I’d be curious and interested, too, as we all darn well better be when it shakes out.

Further down in the article is something relevant from Van Walkenberg:
While some surmise political motivations are behind the problem, Van Valkenburg doesn’t think so.

“I hope that there isn’t,” he said. “I don’t know. I’m somewhat suspicious of it all. It makes no sense other than that, unless this is part of their way to show the Obama administration is out to protect women. I just hope that’s not the case. I think very highly of President Obama. I hope he gets re-elected. I don’t think so highly of the Department of Justice.”

So Edmunds is not alone here, even an Obama supporter (Van W) is “suspicious.

Now let’s move along a bit more to this from Stacy Rye of WORD —

“Rye also said that noting Missoula’s rape occurrence is average isn’t an adequate defense. In fact, she couldn’t think of any other example of “disease, plague, pestilence” that it would be acceptable for 25 percent of one gender to experience.”
So Rye is saying that 25 percent of women in Missoula are rape victims or whatever when there are 80 allegations in three years, if I read THAT right? Let’s say there are 110,000 or so in Missoula County, 50 percent adults, half of adults women. That’s roughly 25,000, and 25 percent of that is say, 7,000. Compared to 80 in three years?

As I said before, assaults and rapes are absolutely criminal acts needing incarceration, but good gravy, Rye’s declaration of 25 percent is completely off base, where the fluke that came from, someone should ask.

Again, this ain’t just Edmunds saying this talking out of his butt, so this Cowgirl and IDC screechfest is not honest at all.

  9. Michael Searalika

I’m allergic to stupid People, who wear shirts that say, “I am allergic to stupid people.”

  10. Buckminster

I sure hope Missoula women turn out in droves and vote for anyone but Champ ‘Azzhat’ Edmunds.

    • Dave Skinner

Well, then, Bucky, they better vote against Jon, too….
He’s apparently in the move along crowd, too, de-minimis-izing the problem. To KAJ he says
“”Well hopefully in the end Missoula will continue to be the great place it is today, and hopefully the Department of Justice wont dilly dally around about this. They’ll do their work, put closure on it and move on. I know that the mayor and different folks in this town are really working hard on economic development and I really think that’s where our focus needs to stay,” Tester said.”

Focus on economic development. No…that’s not where the focus should be. And how come Regent Pat isn’t screaming his lungs out about this, either?

Deflectionist claptrappery. Missoula has a deserved image problem based on criminal conduct and needs to get at least part of the culture adjusted, from the top down.

SOMEONE GIVE SKINFLUTE A JOB! bhwhahahahahhaaa! And along with Skinflute, every OTHER fat, lazy, ignernt ne’er-do-well wannabbe miner or logger who wants to move to Montana!

You see, EVERY one of the Seven Pubbie Mental Dwarfs runnin’ for guv (and skinflute too) is absolutely WETTING down both legs trying to be the biggest corporate pimp they can be! In order to enrich themselves! At OUR expense!

But sorry, Montana has always been a hardscrabble state! You gotta be tough, smart, resourceful, and intelligent to live here! THAT is exactly why we have the best people! The losers left LOOOONG ago.

But the whiners want to bring them back! It’s natural selection! Montana Darwinisim if you will! Do we REALLY want to attract even MORE druggies, thuggies, killers, transients, perverts, and outta staters like over in the Bakken?

I think not. You want’a live here, you gotta pay your dues! I mean, look at Skinner and Skees! Both a couple’a outta staters that move here and IMMEDIATELY start bitching about how the state hasn’t created a JOB for them yet! WHERE does it state in our Constitution that we must create jobs for losers and hosers? I must’a missed that part!

Folks, if it were easy to live here, we wouldn’t be Montana! It’s who we are! We are NOT the state gubmint dependent little whiners runnin’ for guv and the losers like Skinflute and Skees! MAYBE if these hosers and losers need the gubmint to create a job for them, they shouldn’t BE here in the FIRST place!

Send us your intelligent, your hardworking, your fearless to live here in Montana! They will make it, and the others won’t. And the whiners will whine! No NEED to shit in our enivornment in an attempt to provide temporary jobs for losers!

Bottome line? If you are a TRUE Montanan, Montana is for you! If you’re a coporate whore, take your shit elsewhere! I hear that Wyoming is nice this time of year!

        • Larry Kralj, Environmental Rangers

Spen a half hour or so sitting on the bench at the entrance to Walmart some time, and THEN ask yourself just how many more of the fatassed bastards do we really need? Not many I’d say. This AIN’T my idea of progress! Keep Montana Montana! Tell the corporate pimps to take a hike! Straight to Wyoming! Hell, it’s already a shithole! Them morons will love it! And thrive!

        • Dave Skinner

Larry, you are one of the most toxic, maladjusted, coarse, puerile and juvenile trolls I have ever had the pleasure of not meeting. I cannot understand how anyone, much less a supposed Montanan, can be so nasty so consistently, for no rational reason. Not once have I seen you stay on a topic, much less any merit that topic may or may not have.
Thank God Montana is big, and you’re so small. But keep up the good work anyway.

          • Larry Kralj, Environmental Rangers

Years ago, to get into the back country in the winter, you had to SKI in! Now, every lazy, fatass, rascal ridin’ dipshit can get there ’cause they THINK they have a right to do so! Well, I say not!

You see, regardless of what you think, Montanans at one time were a hardy lot! It was a challenge to live here, and that was what Montana was all about. You had to EARN the right to live here. And we were proud of our abilities!

Now, you want the hated gubmint to create a job for you. That’s bullshit! Keep Montana Montana! Nuthin’ wrong with that. It’s simply the TRVTH! If you’re lookin’ for easy living and the nearest Walmart for cheap chineses shit, look elsewhere!

And you wana know sumthin’? Deep down MOST Montanans feel as I do!

      • Buckminster

There’s a big difference between Jon Tester and Mr. Edmunds, my friend. You are correct, though, that this problem should not be swept under the rug or covered up “for the good of the image.” The criminals need to face justice.

        • Dave Skinner

Wow. I agree with a liberal? Of course there’s a whacking difference between Tester and Edmunds, which is why Cowgirl/IBC jumped his puppy without whipping the failings of the, um, “correct” people.
As for the larger issue of the UM Rape O Rama, I’m sure happy you acknowledge it exists. It’s a nonpartisan issue, of course, a huge problem that better not be image-managed away, or distorted to grind unrelated acts.
Crime in the larger society is never acceptable, nor is it any more or less acceptable in an academic setting. Anyone who wants to learn should be able to do so without fear. Period.

          • Rob Kailey

Just for the record, Dave, I think it’s next to impossible for anyone to learn a damned thing without fear.

Crime in any society should never be ‘acceptable’. But that’s hardly the point. This issue is about justice, not keeping our precious snowflakes safe. What you, and most conservatives, conveniently forget is that the promise of society, and really civilization itself, is not release from ‘fear’. It is justice. Nothing Tester said stands against that. What Edmunds said sure as the hell does.

            • Norma Duffy AKA ILIKEWOODS

Exactly Rob, I think they have been missing the point all along!
