Warm, fuzzy; really fuzzy. Rick Hill doesn’t exist. If this is the kind of ad that changes minds, there’s no hope left for civilization.
Havre Voter
I do hope that we see comparative ads in this race, given that the contrast is so clear. However, I expect that the purpose of this ad is name recognition. Even though Bullock is a statewide officeholder, I”m guessing more than half of the voters hadn’t heard of him before the campaign started, and that there are still enough that haven’t to make running this ad worthwhile. To me, it says “I’m on your side” and “this is about you, not me” which I liked.
This is the second ad I have seen from Steve Bullock, and I found it just as classy as the first. I liked the first better (it was simple, positive and harkened back to a much less contentious time) but this one is excellent in it’s own right.

It won’t change minds, but it will influence those for whom tv is the only source of civic information.
