Republican Caught Making Up His Education

We’ve all heard of children making up lies about the dog eating their homework, but a Republican candidate in the Flathead has made up his educational background entirely, the Daily Inter Lake reported.

Cal Scott, GOP candidate for Flathead County Commissioner, told some reporters he held “several degrees, plural” from various colleges.  He told others  he had earned a civil engineering degree from the University of Nevada.  In fact, he dropped out after just three months and has no degree from any school.

Here’s how Cal defended himself from the accusation he’d lied to four area newspapers:

“I don’t recall saying that,” he said. “I know I would’ve never said I had a bachelor’s degree; that’s not a term I would’ve used.”

If this man can’t be trusted to be honest about his own background, he probably can’t be trusted to run one of Montana’s largest counties.

Really? Pointing OUT what the Pubbies are up to is abusive? How interesting.

      BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA!

As I said, dufus, let’s be fair and balanced, shall we? Please post the DEM equivalents for the inbreds I lint to! Good luck.

Oh Sweet JAYsus but craig’s people are some MOORE’ONIC sumbitches! What they gonna do next, a RAIN dance? Look, the GOP has become the party of idiots! It’s not just an isolated case. The entire freakin’ PARTY are idiots! There are NO exceptions!

I’m sure that Dopey Reeburp is right IN there with the prayer caucus dudes!

        http://www.huffingtonpost.com/chris-rodda/the-congressional-prayer-_b_1948252.html

And speaking of Dopey, anybody listen to the debate last night with Tester? Wow. That was classic Dope Reeburp. Mean, nasty, ignornant, rude, and STOOPID! That’s who Dopey is! It was painful to listen to. I thought that Dopey was gonna bust out crying at any moment, ’cause Tester, the ONLY adult at the table, calmly and intelligently handed Dopey his ass repeatedly!

It’s time for all the folks who USED to vote strictly Pubbie in Montana to realize that the old Pubbie party is long gone, and all that we’re left with are outta state nutjobs. Me, personally, I can’t even stand LOOKING at these people! They just don’t LOOK right. They look like some sort or genetic mutants!

Sites like this are everywhere. Some lean left, some lean right, some just report on those who lean either way.

Many people comment on such sites, usually those who support the sites leanings are in the majority. Nothing new really.

Of the many places I have been over the years, I have to say this is one of the most memorable, because of you.

I pity you really. You are abusive and rude towards others. You use sensationalism to draw attention to yourself. You treat the comment section of a blog like your own blog, and use it to over-power the conversations so that only your voice is heard.

If that is how you are in person, it is no wonder you need to use this medium as an outlet for your voice. Not many people like to hold a conversation with a person who behaves this way.

You are now free to release your diatribe upon this comment. Don’t forget to use that wonderful grammar and syntax of yours. It really does help to convince anyone reading that you know what you are talking about :)

I happened upon this site yesterday. I don’t know that I really like the layout of this site, but I have seen worse. Cowgirl, or whoever admins this, have you ever wondered how many people find your site but don’t bother to return because of offensive people and inappropriate comments?

      • Larry Kralj, Environmental Rangers

Another satisfied customer! What’d I do? Is the TRVTH really that offensive and annoying to people, Glassy? Why? I don’t get it. Do you REALLY find me more offensive and annoying than say FAUX News, Bill O’Lielly, and Flush Blimpaugh, and all their clones? Do you criticize them as much as you criticize me?
        Jus wondering.

You see, I ACCEPT your criticism and pity, but you wound me TOO deeply when you critize my snytax and grammar! THAT was uncalled for, amigo! I’ll have you know that I SLEEP every night on my Hodges’ Harbrace College Hanbook of grammar and syntax! It is one of my most valued possessions! Along with my Snorton Reader! I like to think of myself as a sort of modern day Renaissance man! Stick around, you just may LEARN something!

En cual idioma quieres hablar, Glassy? Si es la verdad que desafortunadamente, yo hablo solamente TRES! Cuantos habla Ud.? Muchos, verdad?

        JAJAJAJAJAJAJJAJAJAJAJAJAJAAAA!

        Es una broma, cabron!

  2. glass_half_full

    @Larry Kralj

Don’t confuse being offended with the state of affairs of corrupt people or governments with being offended by the behaviour of an individual on a personal level.

Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing. A precious commodity. It allows individuals to speak their mind without fear of reprisal (to a point anyway).

Human decency is another matter. There is no law, no set of regulations, defining or governing this. Most of us inherently know what is decent and what is not. Ridiculing people in the manner you do is, by most accounts, considered offensive.

As for your rhetoric and grammar, and yes even your syntax, do you believe they drive your points home and give you credibility? I don’t personally. You are most likely playing games, what is referred to as “trolling”. That’s your choise mate. I believe it makes you look juvenile and is offensive.

Therefore, it doesn’t matter what you say, or how much truth there is to it, your delivery is ineffective. I would think if you are on some righteous “truth train” that you would care to communicate and behave in a manner that fosters belief in what you have to say, rather than snickering at how spastic you seem to be.

To each their own I guess.

    • larry kurtz

It’s poor form to spit venom from the shadows…mate: your welcome is cooling precipitously.

    • Rob Kailey

Sorry GHF. You lost me at this obviously untrue statement:

Most of us inherently know what is decent and what is not.

No. No, we don’t know these things “inherently”. Decency, like all of the most interesting concepts, relies on cultural norms and societal conditioning. Doesn’t it interest you at all that so many on the right consider Muslims ‘indecent’ by the conditioning of their religion, yet hold the contradictory view that ‘true’ decency is known by instruction from a loving God? If, as you imply, you find such discrepancies interesting, shouldn’t you focus on those instead of writing blatant untruths?

  3. glass_half_full

    @larry kurtz

What a grand contradiction! Isn’t the purpose of this site, and in fact many of the comments, about exposing the truth?

So by truthfully stating that I find something offensive and ineffective, it is not welcome?

People are all the same. The conservatives get bent one way, the liberals bent the other. The bottom line is often “my way or the highway”. Often common sense and calm rhetoric are shunned and ridiculed, replaced by sensationalism and name calling.

Why not welcome constructive criticism? If I wanted to be offensive I would have been. Instead I point out what I would consider a detriment to the whole purpose here. If you want to awaken the sleeping masses, to show truth, to spur growth, then present it in a manner that fosters that.

It is simple to say “do you really think so” and consider the opinions of others. Isn’t that what you really want, for others to consider your opinions and viewpoints?

In fact if you are unable to consider others opinions and viewpoints, when given in a manner that is spoken in truth and not out of vengeance or retribution, why would you expect to receive the same?

LK represents the dogs of the word war for Montana: if you can’t stand the heat don’t fry your eggs on the sidewalk.

      • glass_half_full

lol, I don’t know about that. LK certainly doesn’t represent me, not even close.

If I want someone to represent me and my interests/beliefs, I want someone who communicates well with respect and tact, someone who is truthful and full of discernment.

Yeah, a pipe dream, I know.

          • Larry Kralj, Environmental Rangers

Well of COURSE they do! American’s for Prosperity, a Big Kockh group, SUPPORTS the comments about slavery actually being a GOOD thing! And THESE are the folks that glass half full thinks I should be NICE to!

            http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/10/jon-hubbard-arkansas-slavery_n_1954902.html

Sorry, dude, but I’m not nice to nazis!

BTW, I heard tom tancredo on american family hate radio today say that Joe Biden was “somewhere between looney and an idiot”! Um, WHICH Dem congressman says this stuff?

On the same channel, some nutty senator woman from New Hampshire asserting that O’Bama was somehow basically guilty of treason for allowing the Libya assault. For the life of me I can’t understand where the pushback is in this country from sane people!

            • Larry Kralj, Environmental Rangers

Hey name is Kelly Ayotte, and she is a real piece of….work! Nasty, nasty woman! I was kinda suprised to her that she was such a nazi, for I figured that New Hampshire was a fairly progressive state. Boy was I wrong. But then, I’ve never been east of Sidney, Montana, so what would I know?

              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly_Ayotte

But my point being is that why should anyone be civil to these nasty, nasty people?

    • Larry Kralj, Environmental Rangers

Can we just all agree that this is great music? After all, we’re all the same, right Glassy? You DO agree that since this dude is a hit, it’s gotta be great and a great way to “awaken the masses and spur growth”, right?

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTqpEJh03fI

      Sheesh.

      • Larry Kralj, Environmental Rangers

Oops. I wasn’t responding to you, LK. I don’t know why it came up here. Sorry.

        • larry kurtz

No worries, been defending Larrys all day: former Republican South Dakota Senator Pressler endorsed President Obama after doing it in 2008.

          • larry kurtz

for my birthday many decades ago one of my ex-wives got me a card that said,

for your birthday: be like The Three Stooges. Eat, drink, and beat Larry.

            • Larry Kralj, Environmental Rangers

You were a hang glider, were you not, LK. That’s cool. Off Mount Jumbo, right? I used to watch you guys thinking that that’s gotta be one of the ultimate experiences in life.

              • larry kurtz

Mt. Sentinel but it was thirty years ago: now the only thing soaring is my hairline.

Missed tonight’s debate: how’d it go?

  4. Larry Kralj, Environmental Rangers

“People are all the same. The conservatives get bent one way, the liberals bent the other.”

Wow! Just so profound…..PROFOUNDLY STOOPID! Would you care to offer up some examples of this? This is highminded simpleton BULLSHIT, dude.

“If I want someone to represent me and my interests/beliefs, I want someone who communicates well with respect and tact, someone who is truthful and full of discernment.”

Um, just what ARE you’re beliefs, dude? So far, the ONLY belief you stated was that you don’t like what I write. And really, to call me untruthful withOUT offering up one oncrete example of anything untruthful indicates a weak, weak mind and argument. Same for discernent. Where did I err?

“I don’t know about that. LK certainly doesn’t represent me, not even close”

How can we know? What DO you represent?

“Often common sense and calm rhetoric are shunned and ridiculed, replaced by sensationalism and name calling”

Um, cupcake, I hate to repeat mysefl, but WHERE did I ridicule “common sense”? You got nuthin’, dufus. The folks I ridicule are MORONS, and deserve what they get. If you feel this is untruthful, drop the platitudinous horseshit and get concrete! What do YOU find of merit in morons?

“Most of us inherently know what is decent and what is not. Ridiculing people in the manner you do is, by most accounts, considered offensive.”

We do? SO, anything that offends YOUR little sensiblities is offensive to all? Or at least should be? You’re a silly little person. Please NEVER watch comedy other than I Love Lucy! You’ll be terribly offended.

“If you want to awaken the sleeping masses, to show truth, to spur growth, then present it in a manner that fosters that.”

Wow! Did I EVER say that that was my goal? Who the hell ARE you, the site monitor? Geez, dufus, you’re a sad case.
But HEY, please do list my job description! Too funny.

“I pity you really. You are abusive and rude towards others”

No, dufus, I pity YOU! I really do. Gotta be hard to be a moronic shutin! What are you, a homeschooled thirteen year old? Please say yes, for that would explain a lot!

While I might not agree with everything that GHF says, at least I can read all the comments all the way through. When a reply turns into a bunch of name calling / poor spelling / lack of grammar run on it gets hard to find any substance worth paying attention to. In my opinion when someone has to rely on name calling it means they don’t have any arguments with substance to rely on. Not saying that they don’t, but the reason risks getting lost in the poor delivery.
