Cebull Redux

The attorney defending Rick Hill for taking an illegal $500,000 contribution has a troubled past himself.  Matthew Monforton was at one time a municipal court judge in Bozeman, but it appears his appointment was not re-instated since he is now an attorney for Rick Hill.

While serving as judge, Monforton wrote a Bozeman Chronicle editorial calling the leader of one of the world’s largest religions, the Muslim prophet Mohammed, “a seventh-century pedophile.”

Monforton ‘s rambling editorial includes a rant against General David Petreaus, who he says

“lectured us about respecting the “Holy” Qu’ran (a book whose author married a 9-year-old),” and “straightjacketed American troops with absurd rules of engagement.”

“Maybe our generals could study their Army predecessors rather than lionizing books by a seventh-century pedophile,”

Montana hasn’t had much luck with judges lately. Earlier this month, Judge Richard Cebull, the federal judge in Billings who was caught sending a racist email to his friends, announced he was stepping down.

This kind of thing definitely calls a judge’s impartiality into question, so it seems Bozeman city officials made the right decision not to re-appoint Monforton.  You can draw your own conclusions regarding what this says about the kind of people Rick Hill chooses to hire.

Monforton wouldn’t stand a chance against General Petraus, an American hero, intellect and warrior, particularly when it comes to mental agility, moral courage and UNDERSTANDING the world, something I would challenge Mr. Monforton to try
in COMBAT. General Petraus has served his Nation with distinction and honor.

Don’t know much about Hill’s lawyer, but I do know that Tester was spot on last night and left Rehberg eating his dust. We veterans appreciate what Tester has done for us and it’s clear that our best advocate is Jon Tester. This is a race that will drive the voters to the polls and the absentee ballot box, it remains to be seen how they’ll view the Hill/Bullock race, right now I’d say Hill has the advantage because of his experience and business background, I’m assuming this Monforton has license to practice law in Montana, something the current Governor’s attorney/political advisor doesn’t even have.

THEY’RE YOUR PEOPLE, LIBEL MAN! Poor, poor, poor, sad craigy mooreon, AKA Libel Man, is no longer around to EMBRACE & DEFEND his people! And that’s too bad. Libel Man has taken a much needed sabbatical to find his brain and morals. Good luck with that!

But since he’s gone, I invited ANY brain dead Pubbie out there to defend these mooreons in your party!

“I’m not arguing that the opportunity is equal for Indian persons as it is to non-Indians,” Cebull said. “Because of poverty, because of the lack of vehicles and that sort of thing, it’s probably not equal.WaPo
