It’s hard to say how I missed this world-class intellectual gathering, which took place right here in Helena, Montana. Young earth creationist Brad Harrub was in town to discus his belief that the earth is only 6,000 years old and that dinosaurs and humans roamed the earth together.
Harrub says his roaming creationist lectures are needed because:
Christianity has fallen under attack as more and more people compromise their faith or completely turn their back on God. Textbooks today are indoctrinating students with the ideals of atheism, humanism, and evolution. Add to this that much of the mainstream media and Hollywood propaganda are embracing a Godless lifestyle, and it becomes obvious that indeed times have changed.
Harrub believes that it is essential that creationism taught in schools, and is therefore skeptical of academic standards, which might prohibit important creationist tenants such as:
“If you think you’re an animal, you’ll behave like one”
“Carbon dating and fossils are fakes and shams used by satanic atheists to wage war on christianity.”
“How will little Timmy know not to have sex before marriage if he thinks he’s a monkey?”
and one of the most important questions of our day,
“If we evolved from monkeys, how come there are still monkeys?”
It is not known whether TEA Party Congressman Steve Daines was in attendance.
