New to Netflix this Summer: Orange is the New Red: A MT GOP Story

Following the MT GOP State Officers Convention this past weekend, the MT GOP is proud to announce their summer series.  The critically derided, court adjudicated, and brand spankin’ new Orange is the New Red: A MT GOP Story.

Set in 2017 following the friendship and rise of two out-of-state tech millionaires to the U.S. Congress, this new series is one for the prehistoric ages.

Today, Greg Gianforte narrowly avoided jail time.

An apology, a $50,000 donation to a charity, a $300 dollar fine, 40 hours of community service, and 20 hours of anger management classes is the final tab for Congressman-elect Gianforte. The damage done to Montana’s reputation? Priceless.

The $50,300 tab may seem steep to some, but for a multi-millionaire like Mr. Gianforte that’s his yearly budget for Carhartt jackets.

While Mr. Gianforte’s criminal activity will surely lead the papers tomorrow the United States Senate is prepared to steal coverage away from many hard working Montanans across the state.

Behind closed doors, in what one can only assume to be a smoke filled room full of cajoling lobbyists, zero women, and a blinding desire to “repeal and replace” the U.S. Senate is prepared to gut the Affordable Care Act and replace it with the American Health Care Act.

If this legislation looks anything like the House’s AHCA, Montanans lose. Don’t just take my word for it, take the AARP’s.

We know the cost of Mr. Gianforte’s decision to finally come out against the AHCA: $50,300, a pair of broken glasses, and a tattered reputation. What’s it going to cost Steve Daines to potentially rip health care away from thousands of working Montanans?

Could be his Senate seat. We will see if he’s willing to bet on that.

Tune in over the next few weeks to find out!

Play us out Kenny.

  1. Waiting for the other shoe to drop?
    Excerpts from Montana Election Law
13-35-213. Preventing public meetings of electors. (1) A person who, by threats, intimidations, or violence, willfully hinders or prevents electors from assembling in public meeting for the consideration of public questions is guilty of a misdemeanor.

13-35-106. Ineligibility To Hold Office Because Of Conviction
In addition to all other penalties prescribed by law:
    (3) if an elected official or a candidate is adjudicated to have violated any provision of this title, the individual must be removed from nomination or office, as the case may be, even though the individual was regularly nominated or elected.

  2. I was lamenting to a friend yesterday that I could barely swallow my dinner after seeing Gianforte on the CBS news. In a Montana courtroom on assault charges one day, sworn in as a congressman the next.

  3. Silly ppl, you actually believe millionaires are subject to the same law as the rest of us…

  4. I think the Judge should DEMAND that Gianforte should HOLD REAL TOWN HALLS WITH REAL CONSTITUENTS FACE TO FACE TO MEET HIS COMMUNITY SERVICE, like TWENTY TWO HOUR TOWN HALLS AND THAT WOULD ALSO TEST HIS COMMITMENT TO HIS ANGER MANAGMENT TREATMENT!

CALL THE JUDGE, INSIST, DEMAND Gianforte gets finger-printed and a MUG SHOT like ANY one of Gianforte’s future CONSTITUENTS!
