Snowflake Flathead GOP’ers Ban Media from Event

It seems like the Flathead County GOP needed a safe space this weekend.

Not wanting to be outdone by the Yellowstone County GOP’s controversial speaker, the Flathead County GOP found their own conservative nutjob to speak at their annual dinner.  With the pseudo Law and Order speaker already booked, the Flathead GOP went to the next best thing: a pseudo intellectual and convicted felon!

Dinesh D’Souza, a man so off his rocker that he ignores 50 years of public policy history to declare the Democrats the TRUEEEEEEEE racist party, was invited up to the Flathead to speak.

While they fancy themselves the defenders of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and everything free in between–including the amount of sauces you can get at the local bigoted ChicFilA–the Flathead County GOP seems to have skipped over the First Amendment.

In desperate search for a safe space to protect their snowflake views, the Flathead GOP banned two media outlets from attending their event.  Freedom of the press apparently falls below freedom to say dumb stuff and have no one outside of your worldview challenge you.

According the Montana Public Radio the organizers decided only to allow a reporter from the Daily Interlake in to the event.  According to MTPR:

Skees added that as a private event, Flathead Republicans could choose who could buy a ticket.

It would appear that these little snowflakes need their safe space to hold their event.  Can’t have the big bad media report on the crazy things that are said at their event.

For such champions of the Constitution one would think they’d remember the First Amendment includes the freedom of the press.

    That picture is awesome!

One thing we all can agree on, the stupidity of Republicans makes for some great comedy! I remember when I was a Republican years ago, when we used to be way smart and elected people like Nelson Rockefeller and John Anderson. Now, the gene pool has been all depleted, and all we see are there dumbass children who are in their 60s and 70s like Windy posting here. Sad.

  2. Seems the GOPers were scared to death some 150 lb reporter with a .223 caliber pencil was going to ask them a question about an actual campaign issue and set off a frenzy of physical violence that would get their mug shots used against them in this year’s election.

They were probably right. I bet Nancy Ballance swings a mean chair, too.

  3. It (Dinesh D’Felon’s appearance) wasn’t at a dinner. It was a speech/fundraiser at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse.

  4. It seems odd that the GOP couldn’t find a speaker who is from and represents MT at either event, but then again they are raising funds for the CA guys,Daines and Downing, and their buddy Jersey Gregg.

  5. Oops,I forgot to include Matt from Maryland.
